Buying guide / Two models / 8 min

Choose the day before the specification.

Start with where the headphones will live, then use weight and materials to settle the close call.

Four decisions / In order

Move from behavior to specification.

01

Name the longest listening block

Desk sessions reward ORA One's deeper material frame. Repeated movement rewards ORA Air's lower mass.

02

Decide how often the headphones leave

If they cross rooms, trains, and bags every day, weight and the soft case matter before maximum field width.

03

Choose material character

ORA One uses graphite mesh and aluminum. ORA Air uses recycled polymer and aluminum for a lighter, quieter presence.

04

Use battery as the tie-breaker

Both cover several days. ORA Air adds four hours and gains two hours from the same ten-minute charge.

Before you leave

Two useful answers.

01

Do both models use the same sound profiles?

Yes. Reference, Cinema, and Outside are available on both; the physical field feels slightly closer on Air.

02

Can the cushions be swapped between models?

No. Their magnetic carriers follow different cup geometry, but both replacements use the same tool-free action.
